Rai’s love of house and techno began when she first heard the track “Jack the Groove” by Raze in the east end of London in 1987.  Going to the first UK house parties and raves was a natural progression…

Some years later, this time in the east midlands area, she became acutely involved with the free party scene and her love affair for house and techno developed into deep house and deep techno, this time as a dancer, drummer, tea-person (seriously!), organizer, and DJ.   Rai was involved with several different sound-systems in the East Midlands and London areas playing at free parties, festivals, bars, clubs, private parties, after parties, and a couple of marches…

Her love of the deep house sound continued to grow and she became more interested in the music (not just the party), as time went on, and the music got deeper.   Becoming more involved as a musician and producer was a foregone conclusion…

With the release of “Winter” on Mixomat Recordings, Serendipity was born.  Serendipity now spends most of her time producing her own music and collaborating with other likeminded, admired and respected artists…. Serendipity is about the music and feels strongly about the deepness and love of this music being enough to make one move…
