With the internet release of Exit Zero’s “Moments of Us” EP, Malcolm Moore formally launched Altered Moods Recordings (note the vestigial logo on this cover).

Exit Zero’s first release was built on found sounds, spoken word and sampled and resampled loops echoing upon themselves to create a profound experience in the ambient—with rhythm.

Exit Zero found his stride with this release and built up a powerful listening experience of temple bells, glass armonica and phasing to create a drifting, floating sound. Weaving in strong open chords, ocean-deep bass and live captured sound, Exit Zero takes us with him on his continent-hopping ride.
